A small retreat house for an extended family in the Sierra foothills. The house was designed to be comfortable for one or two people but also flexible enough to sleep ten to twelve people.
The retreat is 100% self sustaining (aka “off-grid”). To achieve this, we looked to efficiency first and water savings design.
